We are looking for a back-end developer (in the Sittard area) with an excellent work ethic and strong problem-solving skills. The position as a Medior Backend Developer offers you the opportunity to work for different clients and that means that no project is the same. Our developers find a lot of challenge and variation in their work. Personal input is strongly encouraged and the organization also pays a lot of attention to the needs of our employees.
You work with the team on projects from domestic and foreign customers. The duration of projects varies from two weeks to three months. The variety and variation in the work involved is key.

Your responsibilities:
As a back-end developer, you will develop digital communication solutions to meet the needs of customers. You have knowledge of coding and write well designed, testable and efficient code by using the best software. You are able to create website layout/user interface by using standard HTML/CSS practices and can integrate data from various back-end services and databases. It is important that you keep track of emerging technologies and industry trends, so you can implement these into operations and activities, and you are responsible for maintaining and expanding customer solutions. You can gather and refine specifications and requirements based on technical needs and are able to create and maintain software documentation.
Requirements
• A degree in programming, computer science, or a related field.
• Experience in working with PHP, performing unit testing, and managing APIs such as REST.
• At least 4 years of experience as a Backend Developer.
• A solid understanding of application design using Laravel.
• Knowledge of database design and querying using SQL.
• Practical experience using the MVC architecture.
• A portfolio of applications and programs to your name.
• Git (or another relevant version control system)
